Catching up

so I proposed late Thursday night.  I had my little-cut out book.  I told her I had her Valentine’s Day gift and that, I know it was early but I had to give her.  I showed her the book and told her she could only have it one one condition- that she would hold on to it for a very long time.  She opened it and was totally surprised.  Success.

She cried and called her mom and we had Friday to ourselves.

My mother and sister came to visit Saturday.  I showed them around town- we ate mexican food and then had Rhombus Guy’s pizza for dinner, which was just okay if you ask me.  Not bad, but not the best pizza I have ever had.

My mom and sister left early the next morning.  I tried to help prep my sister for a job interview she has coming up but she got all moody when I gave her some tips.  She’s going through a rebellion phase right now- smoking pot, flunking out of school, and wasting away her life.  I only wish she wouldn’t do it by wasting my dad’s G.I. bill funds that she got since was deployed to Afghanistan.  She’s really been stressing out my mom.

But I did get to have some good talks with my mom.  She was really happy for me and my fiance.

Today I had to deal with tons of people telling me congrats and asking all sorts of questions.  I was surprised how excited my boss was about it.  She talked for a long time about her wedding.  I hadn’t told anyone except my parents about my plans so no one knew it was coming.

I worked a long day today.  Tried to call my girlfriend just now.  I really want to go to bed early so I can get a stronger start tomorrow.  Tuesdays are my day to catch-up on things.  My largest task tomorrow is to type a paper for class.

I probably won’t get any homework done this weekend either.  February is going to be busy as hell, but it ends with my birthday.

Time to tune up my guitar and strum for a little while.

Hells bells

Good night
